Pokemon GO – I Choose You!
Good ‘Eevee’-ning,
It’s Dr. Lucy Gillivour, blogging again! Wondered why I’ve been absent with my blog posts?
It’s because I’ve been spending my spare time walking around my lovely town of Traralgon catching Pokemon! Sounds ‘Farfetch’d’ right?
“What?” I hear you say, “Pokemon is a game!” and you’d be right, it is a game. Niantec – The Pokemon company – have recently released a new app called Pokemon Go! It’s getting everyone outside, walking around to catch Pokemon in their town, visiting local landmarks to collect pokeballs and even virtually battling each other with the creatures they catch. How cool is that?
I love this app because it has successfully managed to get inactive kids and teenagers out of the house and exercising. If only I knew sooner how easy it was to get my patients out walking was a simple game! It’s addictive and I find myself going on extra long walks just to catch more Pokemon.
However, with any sudden increase in exercise, my feet are getting sore at the end of the day simply because I am doing more on them. Thankfully I know how to treat my own feet so this doesn’t become an issue.
If you find yourself – or your children – out walking more as a result, and your feet feel a little ‘Oddish’ come and see your friendly podiatrist at The Foot And Ankle Clinic. Let me have a ‘Pikachu’ feet to keep you on track to becoming the best there ever was!
Gotta catch ‘em all!
